Session log — TIB AI builder, new site for Crossing the Line

3 June 2026, evening · Discovery AI · Hasmukh with Claude · auto-published from the local journal entry. A polished narrative version can be requested in any future Claude session.

Summary

  • Hasmukh asked to create a new website using the TIB AI builder that Kenn set up, the same one used for the Tech Plus Things site.
  • I traced the builder to discovery.mobilearn.africa (the tibaai-discovery plugin), read its method, and ran it for him.
  • The new site is for Crossing the Line, a weekly video podcast hosted by veteran journalist Ryland Fisher, who interviews a wide range of South Africans. YouTube: @CrossingTheLinePodcastCPT.
  • I looked the show up and built the preview on the real thing: real guests (David Africa, Stanley Jacobs, Vicky Sampson), the real topics, the weekly IOL feature, and Ryland's background as a former Cape Times editor.
  • Hasmukh chose a bold, editorial look. I designed a bespoke one-page site: the latest interview big at the top, the full catalogue below, a "line" motif tied to the name, in a warm dark palette with a red accent.
  • I checked it with my own eyes on both desktop and a phone, then published it to the private preview area behind the password gate, next to Tech Plus Things.

Decisions

  • Run the builder via the agent path (I conducted it), not the self-serve web chat.
  • Look and feel: bold and editorial (Hasmukh's pick of three).
  • Built as a private preview to review first, not a live public site.
  • Used only verified facts about the show and its guests. Photo and thumbnail spots are tasteful placeholders for now.

Changes made

  • Added a new private preview at the builder: discovery.mobilearn.africa/crossingtheline/ (a single self-contained page), then re-tuned it to the show's real brand once Hasmukh sent the logo. The header is a light bar carrying the full colour logo (Hasmukh's choice), the footer keeps the white logo on the dark band, the browser-tab icon is the logo mark, and the whole palette is the brand's blue and slate. On phones the header shows the logo and a Watch button. Owned by the discovery account, sitting behind the same password gate as the other previews.
  • Added a no-cache instruction to the preview page so browsers always fetch the latest version (a saved older copy had briefly shown Hasmukh the previous look). Fresh link shared: discovery.mobilearn.africa/crossingtheline/?v=3
  • No existing site, page, or setting was changed. Nothing public was touched.
  • Local working files: content/crossingtheline/index.html (the page), content/crossingtheline/brief-notes.md (the research and decisions). Small local helper files for previewing only: .claude/launch.json and scripts/serve-crossingtheline.js.

Follow-ups

  • Hasmukh to confirm the genuine latest episode to feature in the header (I used David Africa, the most recent I could verify).
  • Logo received and applied (header, footer, browser-tab icon) with the colours matched to the brand. Still needed: guest photos, a Ryland portrait, and real video thumbnails for the placeholder image blocks.
  • Optional next steps if he likes it: a separate episodes page, real video thumbnails, then publishing it to a real address.
  • Separately, three earlier session logs are still queued to publish to the documentation site (magic sign-in email check, overview page tidy-up, ZoomISO course).
